Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Maurinho Gonçalves got the match started through his kick off. With a little luck, Ibicoara SS's Gilberto Duarte got control of the ball when Douglas Nogueira tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Douglas Nogueira came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Ibiagui SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Douglas Nogueira couldn't finish the play. Chico Toledo's late challenge caught a Ibiagui SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Chico Toledo helped the player get up and apologised. Gilberto Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovânio Soares in the 6th minute of the match. When Juvenal Miranda fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ibicoara SS's protests and gave Juvenal Miranda a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th match minute, Ibicoara SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juvenal Miranda to maneuver through the defense. Gilberto Duarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geovânio Soares, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. The supporters of Ibicoara SS booed when Ibiagui SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Douglas Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marco Tavares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ibiagui SC's goalkeeper Zeca Campidelis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 21 minutes of play, Ibicoara SS's Marco Tavares made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zeca Campidelis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Leandro Rezende charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leandro Rezende the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Ibiagui SC's Leandro Rezende got a free kick in the 28th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Ibicoara SS's Maurinho Gonçalves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zeca Campidelis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marco Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeca Campidelis having to interfere. In the 32nd minute Maurinho Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeca Campidelis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 0-2 became the score in the 36th minute when Marco Tavares elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Ibiagui SC's Zeca Campidelis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Tavares in the 41st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurinho Gonçalves in the 45th minute of play forced Ibiagui SC's goalkeeper Zeca Campidelis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zeca Campidelis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Tavares in the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Geovânio Soares to make the kick off. Gilberto Duarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovânio Soares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurinho Gonçalves in the 57th minute of play forced Ibiagui SC's goalkeeper Zeca Campidelis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Ibicoara SS getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Joaquim Damião hit a great ball. After having played for 66 minutes, Geovânio Soares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ibiagui SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geovânio Soares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marco Tavares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Zeca Campidelis made a huge save. Ibiagui SC's Geovânio Soares got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglas Nogueira in the 75th minute of play forced Ibicoara SS's goalkeeper Gilberto Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ibicoara SS's Maurinho Gonçalves got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maurinho Gonçalves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 92nd minute of the match, Maurinho Gonçalves tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Zeca Campidelis saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 95th minute, Tadeu Diniz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marco Tavares got free with Zeca Campidelis in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
