Wágner Dracena kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. When Zé Couto came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Cajazeiro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Couto couldn't finish the play. Cajazeiro FC's Zé Couto got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 42 minutes into the game, Cajazeiro FC's Zé Couto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gabriel Ramos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Cléber Passos in the 79th minute of play forced Cajazeiro FC's goalkeeper Acácio Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dráusio de Almeida received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gabriel Ramos came out and tried to block the shot, but Dráusio de Almeida slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 85th minute. Marcelinho Meirelles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Acácio Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Sapataria fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cajazeiro FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
