In the 13th match minute, Capitoa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonçalo Dias to maneuver through the defense. 20 minutes into the match, Sitiozinho's goalkeeper Frédson Félix had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marquinhos Bertassi. 21 minutes into the game, Frank Gonçalves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sitiozinho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Capitoa the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by César Barbosa in the 25th minute of play forced Capitoa's goalkeeper Dida Berger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cássio Pernambucano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dida Berger having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gonçalo Dias got free with Frédson Félix in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nilson Sarmento in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frédson Félix saved Sitiozinho from getting behind. Frédson Félix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilson Sarmento in the 47th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and César Barbosa made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Marquinhos Bertassi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Capitoa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After 59 played minutes Sitiozinho got a freekick which was hit by Cássio Pernambucano. After 60 played minutes Sitiozinho got a freekick which was hit by Diamantino Tasso.
