If Sabino Corrêa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tibúrcio Correia took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gil Teixeira. Gil Teixeira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Vito Sabóia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmyr Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Francisco Trigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil Teixeira having to interfere. Luiz Fabiano Trigo's late challenge caught a Quatorze EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luiz Fabiano Trigo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 23rd minute, Luiz Fabiano Trigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute, Tibúrcio Correia made a precise shot to the right of Gil Teixeira. Olympia SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. If Tibúrcio Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sabino Corrêa to make the kick off. After 52nd play minutes Walmyr Montenegro shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Vito Sabóia and just under the crossbar into goal. If Sabino Corrêa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Walmyr Montenegro got free with Vito Sabóia in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 59 minutes into the match, Francisco Trigo notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Olympia SC's Gil Teixeira. Gil Teixeira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 73rd minute, Walmyr Montenegro made a precise shot to the right of Vito Sabóia. Quatorze EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tibúrcio Correia in the 76th minute of play forced Olympia SC's goalkeeper Gil Teixeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sabino Corrêa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Trigo in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gil Teixeira saved Olympia SC from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Quatorze EC had won after a very even match.
