The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Itaia reached it. A collision led to Barretos EC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Ronaldão Cearense hit a great ball. Bernardo Lira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chico Maia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Beto Perez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Lira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernardo Lira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beto Perez having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Chico Maia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Beto Perez was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Álvaro Neto in the 21st minute of play forced Itaia's goalkeeper José Augusto Vides to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Augusto Vides tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Itaia's Kléberson Montenegro got a free kick in the 37th minute. Álvaro Neto scored 1-0 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of José Augusto Vides, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 48 played minutes Barretos EC got a freekick which was hit by Samuca de Andrade.

The wind increased when Álvaro Neto made the kick off in the second half. Álvaro Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Augusto Vides having to interfere. The supporters of Barretos EC booed when Itaia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Téo Lucas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Álvaro Neto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lino Meireles kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Erasmo Teixeira didn't quite understand what happened when in the 66 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Felipe Xavier hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Bernardo Lira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Beto Perez made a huge save. In the 77th minute, Bernardo Lira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Beto Perez was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Álvaro Neto in the 81st minute of play forced Itaia's goalkeeper José Augusto Vides to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barretos EC's Beto Perez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Barretos EC from getting a goal against them. Barretos EC's Álvaro Neto got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. José Augusto Vides took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moisés Vianna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 86 minutes into the game, Carlos Vander was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barretos EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Itaia the free kick. In the 86th match minute, Barretos EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Vander to maneuver through the defense. Téo Lucas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Beto Perez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chico Maia in the 91st minute of the match. 98 minutes into the match, Barretos EC's goalkeeper Beto Perez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernardo Lira. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
