Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Oséias de Senna started the match with the kick off. 7 minutes into the match, Itaia's goal looked a bit too open when Rômulo Soeiro came free, but José Augusto Vides reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sandrinho de Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chico Maia in the 9th minute of play. Bernardo Liras short, quick shot in the 12thth minute got Sandrinho de Andrade to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Dário Britto fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Umarizeiras's protests and gave Dário Britto a yellow card for diving instead. After 14 played minutes Umarizeiras got a freekick which was hit by Dário Britto. Bernardo Lira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandrinho de Andrade having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Rômulo Soeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 19th minute Rômulo Soeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Augusto Vides saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sandrinho de Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chico Maia in the 25th minute of play. Dário Britto was shown his second yellow card after 26 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Itaia booed when Umarizeiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dário Britto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sandrinho de Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chico Maia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernardo Lira might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sandrinho de Andrade. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernardo Lira ran back to his position shaking his head. With an all-out effort, Itaia's Sandrinho de Andrade threw himself towards the right post 30 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Chico Maia, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Chico Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute of the match, Chico Maia tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sandrinho de Andrade saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.

The wind increased when Chico Maia made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Nildo Meireles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Umarizeiras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nildo Meireles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rômulo Soeiro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but José Augusto Vides firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 62nd match minute, Umarizeiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frederico Netto to maneuver through the defense. If Bernardo Lira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Rômulo Soeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rômulo Soeiro got free with José Augusto Vides in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sandrinho de Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Lira in the 74th minute of play. In the 77th minute Chico Maia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandrinho de Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sandrinho de Andrade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Lira, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 87th match minute, Itaia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Lira to maneuver through the defense. After 92 played minutes Itaia got a freekick which was hit by Téo Lucas. Rômulo Soeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Augusto Vides having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
