The tension between the Verga and the Marita SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 4th minute, Mathias Pinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Bernardinho Saraiva fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marita SC's protests and gave Bernardinho Saraiva a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Marita SC's Bernardinho Saraiva got a free kick in the 6th minute. After 9 minutes, Juninho Furtado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Verga and the Marita SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 9th minute, Juninho Furtado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Angelo Aguiar was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Valdir Koehler. Angelo Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorival Campidelis in the 15th minute of the match. João Vítor Vieira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathias Pinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Mathias Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tostão Sarmento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Vítor Vieira having to interfere. In the 27thth minute of the game Mathias Pinho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marita SC's João Vítor Vieira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Dorival Campidelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 37th minute, Bernardinho Saraiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diego Guimarães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Marita SC booed when Verga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juninho Furtado didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorival Campidelis in the 47th minute of play forced Verga's goalkeeper Angelo Aguiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Dorival Campidelis made the kick off in the second half. Diego Guimarães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Angelo Aguiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 54 minutes into the game, Dorival Campidelis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Angelo Aguiar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 58 played minutes Marita SC got a freekick which was hit by Edinho Almeida. The nice shot from Tostão Sarmento in the 62ndth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but João Vítor Vieira had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. If Dorival Campidelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diego Guimarães recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Angelo Aguiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Guimarães in the 71st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Diego Guimarães managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marita SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Diego Guimarães was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angelo Aguiar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Diego Guimarães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Aguiar having to interfere. Tostão Sarmento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. João Vítor Vieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Marita SC's goal looked a bit too open when Mathias Pinho came free, but João Vítor Vieira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute, Marita SC's Lenílson Almeida seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Lenílson Almeida the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Marita SC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Lenílson Almeida had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Marita SC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 95th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Verga a penalty, 98 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Arnaldo Leite, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Marita SC's João Vítor Vieira. 1-1. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
