After having played for 17 minutes, Zacarias Souto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Putinga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zacarias Souto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 19th match minute, Espinharas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ian Vale to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Bastos in the 27th minute of play forced Putinga's goalkeeper Diogo Faustino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Putinga's Pedro Miranda got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 45 minutes, Raí Schmidt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Putinga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raí Schmidt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 47 minutes into the match, Espinharas's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Miranda came free, but Osmar Lago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedro Miranda was the one to do the kick off. Diogo Faustino had great luck who in the 52ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Marcos Bastos from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Osmar Lago showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
