Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Chico Cardozo made the kick off which started today's match. A collision led to Rinare getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Paulo Renato Félix hit a great ball. Chico Cardozo struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Luís Gustavo Marinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Matoim FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedito Nunes in the 6th minute of play forced Rinare's goalkeeper Luís Gustavo Marinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Chico Cardozo came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Matoim FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chico Cardozo couldn't finish the play. Benedito Nunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Luís Gustavo Marinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. André Luís Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 16 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Matoim FC! Paulo Renato Félix placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After a defensive mix-up in Matoim FC's zone, Walmyr Baiano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eduardo Recife came out of the goal and Walmyr Baiano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benedito Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Gustavo Marinho having to interfere. Chico Cardozo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Gustavo Marinho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Eduardo Recife showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Luís Nogueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Dráusio da Mata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Rinare fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when Rinare's Celso Bittencourt looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Vânderson Medeiros took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luís Gustavo Marinho. Luís Gustavo Marinho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Dráusio da Mata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Gustavo Marinho having to interfere. The Matoim FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
