Chico Cardozo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When João Vítor Loyola came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Fachinal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Vítor Loyola couldn't finish the play. In the 19th minute, Vânderson Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20thth minute of the game Cauan de Castro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Matoim FC's Eduardo Recife was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kléber Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedito Nunes in the 22nd minute of play. Benedito Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benedito Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kléber Luz having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves João Vítor Loyola could shoot a difficult shot in the 31st minute, which Eduardo Recife however easily saved by the left post. In the 35th match minute, Matoim FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dráusio da Mata to maneuver through the defense. João Vítor Loyola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Eduardo Recife tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kléber Luz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chico Cardozo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Fachinal's zone, Benedito Nunes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kléber Luz came out of the goal and Benedito Nunes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kléber Luz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedito Nunes in the 46th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Chico Cardozo to strike the kick off in the second half. When Matoim FC's Chico Cardozo in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fachinal's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chico Cardozo in the 54th minute of play forced Fachinal's goalkeeper Kléber Luz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kléber Luz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chico Cardozo in the 55th minute. Chico Cardozo might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kléber Luz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chico Cardozo ran back to his position shaking his head. 58 minutes into the match, Matoim FC's Benedito Nunes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kléber Luz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Chico Cardozo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kléber Luz was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Eduardo Recife made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ismael Oliveira in the 65th minute of play. In the 66th minute, Dráusio da Mata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Matoim FC booed when Fachinal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jano Neiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Fachinal's goalkeeper Kléber Luz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benedito Nunes. Kléber Luz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benedito Nunes went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fachinal's goalkeeper Kléber Luz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 86 minutes of play, Fachinal's Cauan de Castro made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eduardo Recife was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 91st minute Cauan de Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Recife saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute of the match, Chico Cardozo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Kléber Luz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
