Mimoso's Edson Prado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emerson Fontes in the 3rd minute of play. In the 5th minute Rony Prestes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edson Prado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emerson Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edson Prado having to interfere. Edson Prado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emerson Fontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. When Cauan Mota came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Mimoso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cauan Mota couldn't finish the play. Joel Meirelles was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Cauan Mota managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mimoso's supporters rose to their feet, but Cauan Mota was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joel Meirelles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Edson Prado managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when Jaguaricatu SC's Rony Prestes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Emerson Fontes came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Jaguaricatu SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emerson Fontes couldn't finish the play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
