When Mauro Saraiva fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Enganado's protests and gave Mauro Saraiva a yellow card for diving instead. Tony Branco kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Víktor Sabóia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tiago Alvarenga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Víktor Sabóia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Alvarenga having to interfere. Víktor Sabóia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Tiago Alvarenga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 27 minutes of play, Virginopolis's Adalmo Valle made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Francisco Soares was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tostão de Carvalho hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. 34 minutes into the match, Virginopolis's Vágner de Queiroz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Francisco Soares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 36thth minute of the game Cauan Trigo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Enganado's Francisco Soares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tiago Alvarenga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jano Leme in the 39th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cauan Trigo was the one to do the kick off. Enganado's Jano Leme got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Víktor Sabóia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Virginopolis's Tiago Alvarenga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Virginopolis from getting a goal against them. Mauro Saraiva got his second yellow card in the match during the 62nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The audience cheered when Bernardo de Carvalho's long shot passed Francisco Soares's right side. It was 2-0, 64 minutes into the match. Jano Leme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. If Jano Leme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Virginopolis's zone, Víktor Sabóia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiago Alvarenga came out of the goal and Víktor Sabóia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Francisco Soares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adalmo Valle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Enganado's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
