The wind increased when Elói Messias made the kick off in the second half. In the 79thth minute of the game Duarte Massa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Moderna EC's Zé Roberto Hames was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Moderna EC's goal looked a bit too open when Duarte Massa came free, but Zé Roberto Hames reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Fernando da Mata kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Elói Messias's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zé Roberto Hames was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. Armandinho Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Linhares having to interfere. Moderna EC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
