Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Carlos Augusto Teles started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd match minute, Moderna EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silas Cardozo to maneuver through the defense. In the 5th minute, Luís Fernando da Mata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Moderna EC's Silas Cardozo got a free kick in the 7th minute. Moderna EC's Zé Roberto Hames played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Augusto Teles in the 11th minute of play. A collision led to Moderna EC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Luís Fernando da Mata hit a great ball. Juan Negri took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Zé Roberto Hames. Moderna EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 18th minute Juan Soeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Roberto Hames saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The long shot by Virgílio Vidal in the 23rd minute really tested Sílvio Luís Matorin's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Luís Gustavo Alvarenga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Iassiara's Sílvio Luís Matorin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Iassiara from getting a goal against them. If Luís Gustavo Alvarenga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Augusto Teles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Roberto Hames having to interfere. In the 38th minute of the match, Armandinho Macedo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Sílvio Luís Matorin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 44 played minutes Iassiara got a freekick which was hit by Edson dos Santos. Luís Gustavo Alvarenga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edson dos Santos hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 52nd minute Armandinho Macedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Luís Matorin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sílvio Luís Matorin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armandinho Macedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th match minute, Moderna EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clemente Jacinto to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Moderna EC's Zé Roberto Hames got control of the ball when Juan Soeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 71st minute of the match Juan Negri sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zé Roberto Hames skillfully saved the ball. After 76 played minutes Moderna EC got a freekick which was hit by Luís Fernando da Mata. After 80th play minutes Carlos Augusto Teles shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Zé Roberto Hames and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 90th minute, Rafinha Lago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iassiara's Juan Soeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
