In the 11th minute Ernesto Senna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Róbson Neiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Augusto Quirino kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. When Geovanni Breckenfeld fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Corina AD's protests and gave Geovanni Breckenfeld a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Corina AD getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Geovanni Breckenfeld hit a great ball. During the 26th minute of the match Geovanni Breckenfeld completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Geovanni Breckenfeld a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Serginho Lira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorian Urbano having to interfere. Ernesto Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Róbson Neiva having to interfere. Ernesto Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Róbson Neiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Waldir Figueiredo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Róbson Neiva made a huge save. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Serginho Lira was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Ijuhy FC's zone, Ernesto Senna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Róbson Neiva came out of the goal and Ernesto Senna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 57th minute Ernesto Senna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Róbson Neiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ijuhy FC's zone, Juvenal Gaúcho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Róbson Neiva came out of the goal and Juvenal Gaúcho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ernesto Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Serginho Lira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ijuhy FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Serginho Lira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dorian Urbano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Róbson Neiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Serginho Lira kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Ernesto Senna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corina AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernesto Senna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Róbson Neiva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
