After 24 minutes, Pedrão Simão made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Itaperucu SS's Augusto Paiva tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Rubens Maciel fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Itaperucu SS's protests and gave Rubens Maciel a yellow card for diving instead. In the 31st match minute, Itaperucu SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rubens Maciel to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute of the match Gabriel Galvão shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Augusto Paiva showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Pedrão Simão might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Augusto Paiva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedrão Simão ran back to his position shaking his head. Alfredão Fernandez struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Arlindo Carneiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itaperucu SS. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedrão Simão made a kick off. After 51 played minutes Chamengo AD got a freekick which was hit by Antônio Coutinho. Alfredão Fernandez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fábio Meireles hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. The supporters of Chamengo AD booed when Itaperucu SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adalmo Magalhães didn't get a good kick on the ball. 66 minutes into the game, Cauan Rossi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Itaperucu SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chamengo AD the free kick. In the 66th minute, Cauan Rossi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedrão Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vítor Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Paiva having to interfere. Augusto Paiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedrão Simão in the 72nd minute of the match. If Pedrão Simão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vítor Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arlindo Carneiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredão Fernandez in the 86th minute of play. Vítor Santos succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 88th playminute. When Chamengo AD's Pedrão Simão in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Cacá Simões's late challenge caught a Chamengo AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cacá Simões helped the player get up and apologised. In the 94th minute, one of Itaperucu SS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Itaperucu SS. The Chamengo AD players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
