When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Josué Brodel took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Marcinho Correia to make any attempt to save it. In the 22nd minute Armindo Nogueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmundo Vergílio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Didi Tróia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Edmundo Vergílio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armindo Nogueira in the 23rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Uriporanga SC defense, Armindo Nogueira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edmundo Vergílio. The Uriporanga SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edmundo Vergílio should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Marequeta SS getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Joélson de Souza hit a great ball. In the 30th match minute, Marequeta SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Trigo to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Uriporanga SC's Douglas Bertassi got a free kick in the 35th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Marequeta SS's goal looked a bit too open when Josué Brodel came free, but Marcinho Correia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Josué Brodel hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Josué Brodel made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Dinei Lucas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edmundo Vergílio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 57th minute, Roger Nascimento made a precise shot to the right of Marcinho Correia. Marequeta SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Edmundo Vergílio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Didi Tróia in the 60th minute. Marcinho Correia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Josué Brodel's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Dinei Lucas kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Joélson de Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 66 minutes into the match, Uriporanga SC's Luís Fernando Santana broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The supporters of Marequeta SS booed when Uriporanga SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Douglas Bertassi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Didi Tróia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marequeta SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Didi Tróia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edmundo Vergílio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 78th minute Armindo Nogueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmundo Vergílio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th minute, Armindo Nogueira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Douglas Bertassi kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Uriporanga SC's zone, Armindo Nogueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edmundo Vergílio came out of the goal and Armindo Nogueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Didi Tróia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Edmundo Vergílio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Roger Nascimento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Uriporanga SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Josué Brodel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Marcinho Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rubens Arósio's late challenge caught a Marequeta SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rubens Arósio helped the player get up and apologised. After 95 played minutes Uriporanga SC got a freekick which was hit by Rubens Arósio. Uriporanga SC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
