After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Roger Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uriporanga SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Roger Nascimento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nilmar Sena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Josué Brodel made a kick off. Luís Fernando Santana hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Piratiny AD's zone, Douglas Bertassi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nilmar Sena came out of the goal and Douglas Bertassi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Piratiny AD getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Váldson Gomes hit a great ball. Acácio Paes hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. If Roger Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Váldson Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Piratiny AD fans cheered their team off the field, for while Uriporanga SC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
