The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. André Luís Abraão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessandro Sabóia having to interfere. After 6 minutes, Richard Bueno mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pompunhas and the Gramas AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Pompunhas getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Richard Bueno hit a great ball. Alessandro Sabóia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Luís Abraão in the 8th minute of play. After 9 played minutes Pompunhas got a freekick which was hit by Vinícius Fontes. With a little luck, Pompunhas's Alessandro Sabóia got control of the ball when Dagoberto Prata tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Zé Augusto Leme's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ismael Zonta was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. When Zé Augusto Leme came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Pompunhas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Augusto Leme couldn't finish the play. Dagoberto Prata struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Alessandro Sabóia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gramas AD. Alessandro Sabóia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Luís Abraão in the 20th minute of play. Alessandro Sabóia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dagoberto Prata in the 21st minute. Dagoberto Prata could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Alessandro Sabóia made a huge save. Dagoberto Prata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Alessandro Sabóia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th match minute, Pompunhas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinícius Fontes to maneuver through the defense. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 33 minutes into the game, Alfredo Fernandes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pompunhas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gramas AD the free kick. After 32 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Pompunhas! The referee gave Gramas AD a penalty, 34 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Nildo Galvão, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Pompunhas's Alessandro Sabóia. 1-0. 39 minutes into the match, Pompunhas's Zé Augusto Leme sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ismael Zonta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 46 played minutes Pompunhas got a freekick which was hit by Ciro Palmeira.

In the 57th minute of the match, Zé Augusto Leme tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ismael Zonta saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 58th minute of the match Cido Veloso sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ismael Zonta skillfully saved the ball. 61 minutes into the game, Zé Augusto Leme lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Ismael Zonta. In the 65th minute, André Luís Abraão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 67th minute Zé Augusto Leme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Zonta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dagoberto Prata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. The supporters of Pompunhas booed when Gramas AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aníbal Brito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Geovani Brodel struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Ismael Zonta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pompunhas. 94 minutes into the match, Geovani Brodel dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ismael Zonta, 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Luís Abraão in the 98th minute of play forced Pompunhas's goalkeeper Alessandro Sabóia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle went the supporters of Pompunhas were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Gramas AD side.
