Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Abranches EC's Naldo Meirelles started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Abranches EC's Laércio Alvarenga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Abranches EC from getting a goal against them. 9 minutes into the game, José Pedro Ramalho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Laércio Alvarenga. José Pedro Ramalho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Harmonia's goalkeeper Wiliam Perez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Nelsinho Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Abranches EC's Nelsinho Guerra fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Edu Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laércio Alvarenga having to interfere. José Pedro Ramalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Laércio Alvarenga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Laércio Alvarenga managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Harmonia's Edu Gaúcho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. José Pedro Ramalho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Laércio Alvarenga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edgard Prata during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Abranches EC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 44th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Laércio Alvarenga, was totally fooled by Harmonia's Natanael Fernandez, who 46 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when José Pedro Ramalho made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute Naldo Meirelles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wiliam Perez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Edu Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 64 minutes, Washington Coelho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Abranches EC and the Harmonia players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Harmonia booed when Abranches EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Washington Coelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Laércio Alvarenga came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Harmonia's José Pedro Ramalho. But to his dismay, José Pedro Ramalho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Diamantino Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Tomé Motta was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 70th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Nelsinho Guerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Wiliam Perez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Naldo Meirelles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Abranches EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Naldo Meirelles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wiliam Perez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edu Gaúcho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Naldo Meirelles hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Luís Paulo Eger scored 4-0 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Laércio Alvarenga, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. José Pedro Ramalho took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Laércio Alvarenga. Laércio Alvarenga dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. In the 94th minute, Nelsinho Guerra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nelsinho Guerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wiliam Perez having to interfere. Abranches EC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
