In the 3rd minute Valdo Gaúcho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haroldo do Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Jimirim getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Kauan Melo hit a great ball. Haroldo do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdo Gaúcho in the 7th minute of the match. When Jorginho Botelho came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Jimirim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorginho Botelho couldn't finish the play. Valdo Gaúcho scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Haroldo do Vale, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Haroldo do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdo Gaúcho in the 16th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juninho Souza during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 20th minute there was a penalty for Jimirim. Donato Lira stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alfredinho Bueno. 1-1. When the match had been going on for 37 minutes, Jimirim's Donato Lira got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Alfredinho Bueno. After having played for 42 minutes, Durvalino Perez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piracuruca AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Durvalino Perez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jimirim's Haroldo do Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Durvalino Perez in the 44th minute of play. The supporters of Piracuruca AD booed when Jimirim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kauan Melo didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jorginho Botelho was the one to do the kick off. Alfredinho Bueno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorginho Botelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Osmar Paraibano struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Alfredinho Bueno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jimirim. Juninho Souza hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the match, Jorginho Botelho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfredinho Bueno. Piracuruca AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jorginho Botelho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Osmar Paraibano might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfredinho Bueno. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Osmar Paraibano ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 76th minute, Jorginho Botelho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfredinho Bueno was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. Durvalino Perez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulo José Mineiro during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 92nd match minute, Piracuruca AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo José Mineiro to maneuver through the defense. Osmar Paraibano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredinho Bueno having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Jimirim had won after a very even match.
