Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jorginho Botelho started the match with the kick off. Jimirim's Kauan Melo got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Osmar Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorginho Botelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Oswaldo Gonçalves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Renato Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marco Cosme scored 1-0 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Haroldo do Vale, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Oswaldo Gonçalves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osmar Paraibano in the 20th minute of the match. Osmar Paraibano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute, Váldson Alvarenga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Remo Velloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 37 minutes, Magno Lara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jimirim and the Vigia players grew even worse after the yellow card. Magno Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Jorginho Botelho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oswaldo Gonçalves was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Digo Arce's late challenge caught a Jimirim's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Digo Arce helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Vigia getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Digo Arce hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorginho Botelho in the 44th minute of play forced Vigia's goalkeeper Oswaldo Gonçalves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorginho Botelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Remo Velloso made a kick off. Vigia's Oswaldo Gonçalves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorginho Botelho in the 53rd minute of play. After 54 minutes, Flávio Silva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vigia and the Jimirim players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vigia's goalkeeper Oswaldo Gonçalves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Osmar Paraibano got free with Oswaldo Gonçalves in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jimirim's Magno Lara got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 67 minutes into the match, Jimirim's Osmar Paraibano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oswaldo Gonçalves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Remo Velloso struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Haroldo do Vale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vigia. In the 78thth minute of the game Jorginho Botelho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vigia's Oswaldo Gonçalves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 79th minute, Jorginho Botelho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Vigia's goalkeeper Oswaldo Gonçalves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 93 minutes into the game, Vigia's Marco Cosme nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Haroldo do Vale made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Donato Lira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jimirim's supporters rose to their feet, but Donato Lira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oswaldo Gonçalves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Vigia fans cheered their team off the field, for while Jimirim had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
