After a defensive mix-up in Piracuruca AD's zone, Remo Velloso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredinho Bueno came out of the goal and Remo Velloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Piracuruca AD's goalkeeper Alfredinho Bueno, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Durvalino Perez in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oswaldo Gonçalves saved Vigia from getting behind. Durvalino Perez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Durvalino Perez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Oswaldo Gonçalves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th match minute, Vigia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Váldson Alvarenga to maneuver through the defense. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valdo Gaúcho made a kick off. If Valdo Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. Durvalino Perez took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oswaldo Gonçalves. Oswaldo Gonçalves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Piracuruca AD's Alfredinho Bueno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remo Velloso in the 85th minute of play. Vigia's Oswaldo Gonçalves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdo Gaúcho in the 91st minute of play. If Marco Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute Marco Cosme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredinho Bueno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
