A collision led to Mabe SS getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Juvenal Rossi hit a great ball. João Augusto Mesquita's late challenge caught a Babia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. João Augusto Mesquita helped the player get up and apologised. João Augusto Mesquita hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After 15 minutes, Reinaldo Queirós made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Mabe SS's Breno Silva tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 18 minutes in the game, João Augusto Mesquita fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Angelo Santos having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Luisinho Lopes fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Angelo Santos, passed just outside the right post. Mabe SS's Breno Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tibúrcio Torres in the 24th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Tibúrcio Torres put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Breno Silva. Angelo Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luisinho Lopes, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. The nice shot from João Augusto Mesquita in the 37thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Angelo Santos had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Sidnei Moura charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sidnei Moura the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sidnei Moura kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. If Luisinho Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luisinho Lopes was the one to do the kick off. Mabe SS's Breno Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reinaldo Queirós in the 54th minute of play. Reinaldo Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breno Silva having to interfere. A collision led to Mabe SS getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Celso Paiva hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Reinaldo Queirós in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Breno Silva saved Mabe SS from getting behind. Luisinho Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Santos having to interfere. Angelo Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Augusto Mesquita, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 71st minute, Reinaldo Queirós reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Breno Silva. The goal made the score 0-3. Tibúrcio Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breno Silva having to interfere. Breno Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reinaldo Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Babia's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
