The supporters of Arata SS booed when Mabe SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitório Correia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Michel Toscano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raphael Alcântara didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luisinho Lopes went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Mabe SS getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Celso Paiva hit a great ball. Genílson Prestes shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Mabe SS's João Augusto Mesquita got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 29th minute, Celso Paiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Mabe SS's zone, Michel Toscano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Breno Silva came out of the goal and Michel Toscano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 37 minutes of play Mabe SS's Vitório Correia was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 38th minute, Vitório Correia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Michel Toscano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arata SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Michel Toscano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Breno Silva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 41st match minute, Mabe SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celso Paiva to maneuver through the defense. Michel Toscano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breno Silva having to interfere. Michel Toscano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Breno Silva made a huge save. If Jarbas Ceresso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paulo José Monteiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. João Augusto Mesquita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raphael Alcântara having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Paulo José Monteiro made a precise shot to the right of Breno Silva. Mabe SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. If Paulo José Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maurício Teles hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Arata SS's Maurício Teles got a free kick in the 67th minute. Breno Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo José Monteiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Augusto Mesquita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th minute, Alexsandro Rodrigues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 76 minutes into the match, João Augusto Mesquita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raphael Alcântara. Arata SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that João Augusto Mesquita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. 82 minutes into the match, Arata SS's goalkeeper Raphael Alcântara had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Augusto Mesquita. A collision led to Mabe SS getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Luisinho Lopes hit a great ball. Michel Toscano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breno Silva having to interfere. In the 96th minute Michel Toscano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Breno Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Mabe SS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mabe SS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
