Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Baltazar Moreno got the match started through his kick off. After 12 played minutes Canhuma AD got a freekick which was hit by Edu Lara. After 15 played minutes, Matos FC's Falcão de Andrade shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ivo Vides came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Matos FC reached it. Romeu Souto struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Ivo Vides didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Matos FC. In the 18thth minute of the game Baltazar Moreno who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Canhuma AD's Ivo Vides was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Matos FC's zone, Alfredinho Carneiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amauri Marques came out of the goal and Alfredinho Carneiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sebastião Vianna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Amauri Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Canhuma AD's zone, Romeu Souto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivo Vides came out of the goal and Romeu Souto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfredinho Carneiro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Amauri Marques firmly grabbed it by the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sebastião Vianna in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amauri Marques saved Matos FC from getting behind. If Alfredinho Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amauri Marques made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Alfredinho Carneiro sent off a good shot on target. Baltazar Moreno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Sebastião Vianna made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Baltazar Moreno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivo Vides saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastião Vianna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amauri Marques having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Canhuma AD's Edu Lara got a free kick in the 63rd minute. After 64 played minutes Canhuma AD got a freekick which was hit by Toninho Fontes. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by Canhuma AD's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Falcão de Andrade was slow to take the kick. During this time Matos FC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Matos FC's corner Falcão de Andrade fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ivo Vides quite easily take care of the ball. Ivo Vides showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baltazar Moreno in the 70th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Canhuma AD's zone, Baltazar Moreno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivo Vides came out of the goal and Baltazar Moreno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 82 minutes into the game, Wiliam Velasco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Matos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Canhuma AD the free kick. Wiliam Velasco kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baltazar Moreno in the 85th minute of play forced Canhuma AD's goalkeeper Ivo Vides to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfredinho Carneiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alfredinho Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 95 minutes into the game, Sebastião Vianna was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Canhuma AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Matos FC the free kick. A collision led to Canhuma AD getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Sebastião Vianna hit a great ball. Matos FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
