Leonel Favoretto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celso Schmidt in the 5th minute of the match. In the 9th minute Célio Coelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jairo Tande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manolo Maranhense hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Natanael Ferraz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Commandatuba EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Natanael Ferraz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jairo Tande breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bernardinho Luz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Leonel Favoretto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Róbson Prata hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Jairo Tande made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Célio Coelho in the 25th minute of play. Raphael Garcia kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Commandatuba EC's Dé Gerber got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Celso Schmidt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Celso Schmidt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leonel Favoretto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Bernardinho Luz might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leonel Favoretto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernardinho Luz ran back to his position shaking his head. After 57 played minutes Araquari got a freekick which was hit by Emílio Pitta. After having played for 59 minutes, Celso Schmidt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Araquari's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celso Schmidt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Commandatuba EC's Rubinho Pires got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emílio Pitta kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 68th minute, Dé Gerber made a precise shot to the right of Jairo Tande. Araquari's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Araquari's goalkeeper Jairo Tande, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 79th minute, Bernardinho Luz made a precise shot to the right of Leonel Favoretto. Commandatuba EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Jairo Tande stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dé Gerber's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Dé Gerber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Jairo Tande tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Célio Coelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo Tande having to interfere. Commandatuba EC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
