Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Balthazar's zone, Jefferson de Mendonça stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erasmo Pombal came out of the goal and Jefferson de Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernandinho Soeiro in the 9th minute of play forced Jaozeiro's goalkeeper Lenílson Galvão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jefferson de Mendonça hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. If Evandro de Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Cristiano Souto put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Lenílson Galvão. Erasmo Pombal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remo Rosado in the 17th minute of play. Remo Rosado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erasmo Pombal having to interfere. Jaozeiro's Aloísio Matorin got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aloísio Matorin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Remo Rosado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Erasmo Pombal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Aloísio Matorin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Remo Rosado struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Erasmo Pombal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jaozeiro. Evandro de Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Evandro de Alcântara to make the kick off. Remo Rosado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erasmo Pombal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Remo Rosado in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erasmo Pombal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Evandro de Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the game, Fernandinho Soeiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Balthazar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jaozeiro the free kick. The supporters of Jaozeiro booed when Balthazar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernandinho Soeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 69 minutes into the game, Jeferson Diniz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Balthazar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jaozeiro the free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Remo Rosado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jaozeiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Remo Rosado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erasmo Pombal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Jaozeiro getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Aloísio Matorin hit a great ball. 74 minutes into the match, Balthazar's goal looked a bit too open when Remo Rosado came free, but Erasmo Pombal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aloísio Matorin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Balthazar's goalkeeper Erasmo Pombal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 82 played minutes Evandro de Alcântara rounded Jaozeiro's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. Aloísio Matorin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cristiano Souto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lenílson Galvão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evandro de Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Balthazar's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
