If Ronaldo Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 10 minutes of play, Carnaubinhas's Eliézer Quadros made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serginho Alagoano was left in no man's land by his defense there! Patrício Rossi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Vivaldo Cardozo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Serginho Alagoano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wellington Romero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Wellington Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 25 minutes of play, Carnaubinhas's Eliézer Quadros made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serginho Alagoano was left in no man's land by his defense there! 30 minutes into the game, Wellington Romero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Serginho Alagoano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 36 minutes into the match, Carnaubinhas's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Cruz came free, but Vivaldo Cardozo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wellington Romero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Carnaubinhas's Vivaldo Cardozo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldo Cruz in the 40th minute of play. Eliézer Quadros might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Serginho Alagoano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eliézer Quadros ran back to his position shaking his head. 44 minutes into the match, Picoto's goal looked a bit too open when Wellington Romero came free, but Serginho Alagoano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Carnaubinhas were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wellington Romero made a kick off. In the 54thth minute of the game Ronaldo Cruz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carnaubinhas's Vivaldo Cardozo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Patrício Rossi struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Vivaldo Cardozo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Picoto. In the 61st minute, Carnaubinhas's Wellington Romero ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Serginho Alagoano. Serginho Alagoano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. If Patrício Rossi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patrício Rossi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Patrício Rossi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vivaldo Cardozo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrício Rossi in the 82nd minute of the match. Serginho Alagoano made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Eliézer Quadros sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 88 minutes, Ronaldo Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Picoto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronaldo Cruz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vivaldo Cardozo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ronaldo Cruz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
