Juan Neto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sílvio Coutinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Zé Pedro Bastos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luizinho Vander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Livramento SS's Zé Pedro Bastos got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Ibiranhem SS's Nildo Tinoco got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 25th minute, Roger Paranaense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elias Freitas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Juan Neto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 27 minutes into the match, Livramento SS's Zé Pedro Bastos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jefferson Rocha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ademir Garcia's late challenge caught a Livramento SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ademir Garcia helped the player get up and apologised. In the 32nd minute Sílvio Coutinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Neto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Neto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Coutinho in the 34th minute of play. Aílton Cruz hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. If Elias Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sílvio Coutinho in the 38th minute of play forced Livramento SS's goalkeeper Juan Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ibiranhem SS's zone, Zé Pedro Bastos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jefferson Rocha came out of the goal and Zé Pedro Bastos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 46 played minutes Ibiranhem SS got a freekick which was hit by Giovanni Dias. When Zé Pedro Bastos came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Livramento SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Pedro Bastos couldn't finish the play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sílvio Coutinho to strike the kick off in the second half. Elias Freitas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Juan Neto having to make a save. If Elias Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Livramento SS's Juan Neto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Coutinho in the 61st minute of play. Elias Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elias Freitas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Neto having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sílvio Coutinho in the 75th minute of play forced Livramento SS's goalkeeper Juan Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Roger Paranaense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan Neto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elias Freitas, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 82nd minute Luizinho Vander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jefferson Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, Ibiranhem SS's goal looked a bit too open when Luizinho Vander came free, but Jefferson Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zé Pedro Bastos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ibiranhem SS's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Luizinho Vander 96 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2.
