The referee showed Luisão Quirino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 6th minute, Luisão Quirino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elder Arósio got free with Conrado Trancoso in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Conrado Trancoso made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Elder Arósio sent off a good shot on target. In the 21st minute, Dida Bueno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nelsinho Queiroz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 24 minutes into the game, Dida Bueno was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rolador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jacuisinho the free kick. In the 24th minute, Dida Bueno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elder Arósio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Conrado Trancoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Luiz Fabiano Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 39 minutes, Cléber Botelho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rolador and the Jacuisinho players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Rolador getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Cléber Botelho hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Rolador's Franklin Neiva got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After the first half Rolador were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gino Freire stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gino Freire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conrado Trancoso having to interfere. Dida Bueno was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 56th minute. Rolador's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The Rolador fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when Rolador's Luiz Fabiano Matos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Conrado Trancoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elder Arósio in the 67th minute of play. Conrado Trancoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elder Arósio in the 68th minute of the match. When Luiz Fabiano Matos came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Rolador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Fabiano Matos couldn't finish the play. Jacuisinho's Nelsinho Queiroz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Jacuisinho from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Dida Bueno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nelsinho Queiroz was relentless in the 76th minute of the game.
