Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Américo Figueiredo got the match started through his kick off. In the 7th minute Américo Figueiredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dagoberto Galvão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Sabino Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Richard Neto fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mocos's protests and gave Richard Neto a yellow card for diving instead. Richard Neto kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Durvalino Maranhense's late challenge caught a Miriti EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Durvalino Maranhense helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Mocos getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Durvalino Maranhense hit a great ball. In the 21st minute of the match Kaká da Costa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dagoberto Galvão skillfully saved the ball. Richard Neto kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Mocos's Hermínio Peixoto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yuri Castro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mocos's goalkeeper Dagoberto Galvão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 31 minutes of play, Miriti EC's Cássio Queiroz made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leopoldo de Senna helped the player get up and apologised. The goalkeeper, Yuri Castro, was totally fooled by Mocos's Márcio Coutinho, who 47 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
In the 59thth minute of the game Hermínio Peixoto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Miriti EC's Yuri Castro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 60th minute, Charles Paes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Márcio Coutinho took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Yuri Castro. Miriti EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 63 minutes into the game, Albertino Alagoano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Miriti EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mocos the free kick. Yuri Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Durvalino Maranhense in the 68th minute of play. 72 minutes in the game, Américo Figueiredo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Dagoberto Galvão having to interfere. Yuri Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sabino Recife in the 76th minute of the match. If Américo Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 80 played minutes Mocos got a freekick which was hit by Aluísio Arruda. Américo Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dagoberto Galvão having to interfere. Miriti EC's Charles Paes got his second yellow card of the match in the 90th minute. The referee ordered Charles Paes off the ground. After a rather tough play, Miriti EC's Charles Paes got a free kick in the 91st minute. Yuri Castro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sabino Recife's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. When Hermínio Peixoto came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Mocos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hermínio Peixoto couldn't finish the play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
