The tension between the Miriti EC and the Cacaroca FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Miriti EC's Kaká da Costa got a free kick in the 8th minute. Wilson Saraiva kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After 13 minutes, Edson Freire mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Miriti EC and the Cacaroca FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 13 played minutes Miriti EC got a freekick which was hit by Edson Freire. Delfim Loyola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Yuri Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zézinho Nunes charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zézinho Nunes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 33 played minutes Cacaroca FC got a freekick which was hit by Zézinho Nunes. Aílton Sabóia scored 0-1 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yuri Castro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 40 minutes into the match, Miriti EC's goal looked a bit too open when Aílton Sabóia came free, but Yuri Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yuri Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aílton Sabóia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yuri Castro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Delfim Loyola went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Américo Figueiredo made a kick off. If Cássio Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. If Américo Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Cacaroca FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
