After a defensive mix-up in Marari's zone, Marcelo Esteves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Telmo da Rocha came out of the goal and Marcelo Esteves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Marcelo Abreu came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Purus SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelo Abreu couldn't finish the play. Telmo da Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Esteves in the 64th minute of the match. In the 65th match minute, Marari was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Belmiro Hoffmann to maneuver through the defense. After 66 played minutes, Purus SC's Marcus Moreira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Telmo da Rocha came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Marcelo Esteves in the 82ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal.
