The Cangica FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Oswaldo Eger scored 1-2 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ernani Vale, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 25th minute, Erasmo Mattos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernani Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erivaldo de Alcântara in the 27th minute of play. Tiaguinho Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan Maciel in the 37th minute of the match. A collision led to Sertaosinho getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Doni Paes hit a great ball. Tiaguinho Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alan Maciel in the 43rd minute of play. The Cangica FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sertaosinho were winning 1-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alan Maciel to strike the kick off in the second half. Erivaldo de Alcântara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erivaldo de Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernani Vale having to interfere. Erivaldo de Alcântara might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ernani Vale. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Erivaldo de Alcântara ran back to his position shaking his head. If Erasmo Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alan Maciel in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tiaguinho Santos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ernani Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erivaldo de Alcântara in the 64th minute of play. In the 69th match minute, Cangica FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar Mattos to maneuver through the defense. 74 minutes into the match, Cangica FC's goal looked a bit too open when Erivaldo de Alcântara came free, but Ernani Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Cangica FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Edgar Mattos hit a great ball. After having played for 84 minutes, Erivaldo de Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sertaosinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erivaldo de Alcântara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ernani Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erivaldo de Alcântara in the 90th minute of play. In the 90th minute of the game, Gustavo Figueiredo landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Erasmo Mattos's late challenge caught a Sertaosinho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erasmo Mattos helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Cangica FC's Erasmo Mattos got a free kick in the 91st minute. Tiaguinho Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alan Maciel, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Tiaguinho Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alan Maciel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Cangica FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sertaosinho's performance. The match ended with a win for Sertaosinho.
