Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Marcelo Abreu kicked off to start the match. Dudu Vianna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erivaldo de Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Erivaldo de Alcântara was extremely unlucky when he, in the 6th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erivaldo de Alcântara in the 8th minute of play forced Purus SC's goalkeeper Dudu Vianna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Purus SC booed when Sertaosinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erivaldo de Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tiaguinho Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Abreu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oswaldo Eger got free with Dudu Vianna in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 14th minute, Ismael Bastos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 15th play minutes Marcelo Abreu shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Tiaguinho Santos and just under the crossbar into goal. After having played for 20 minutes, Marcelo Esteves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Purus SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelo Esteves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 22 minutes into the game, Marcelo Abreu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Tiaguinho Santos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dudu Vianna made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Oswaldo Eger sent off a good shot on target. If Marcelo Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute, Marcelo Abreu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Purus SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Tiaguinho Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Abreu in the 36th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oswaldo Eger got free with Dudu Vianna in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Erivaldo de Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, Erivaldo de Alcântara dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dudu Vianna, 1-3. Dudu Vianna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erivaldo de Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Sertaosinho's Erivaldo de Alcântara slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dudu Vianna. That made the score 2-3 after 47 minutes of play. After the first half Purus SC were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erivaldo de Alcântara stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marcelo Abreu struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Tiaguinho Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Purus SC. Erivaldo de Alcântara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Sertaosinho's zone, Marcelo Abreu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiaguinho Santos came out of the goal and Marcelo Abreu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tiaguinho Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Abreu in the 76th minute of play. Gustavo Figueiredo hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Marcelo Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiaguinho Santos having to interfere. If Erivaldo de Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Purus SC's Dudu Vianna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erivaldo de Alcântara in the 88th minute of play. Tiaguinho Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Abreu in the 90th minute of play. 99 minutes into the match, Sertaosinho's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Abreu came free, but Tiaguinho Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
