Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Jacinto Simão started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Fábio Tepedino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Telmo da Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 8 minutes into the match, Alan Maciel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Telmo da Rocha. Marari's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alan Maciel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 17thth minute of the game Alan Maciel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marari's Telmo da Rocha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fábio Tepedino in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Telmo da Rocha saved Marari from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Rogério Koehler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marari's supporters rose to their feet, but Rogério Koehler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernani Vale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 28th minute, Ismael Paraíba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Belmiro Hoffmann hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alan Maciel in the 39th minute of play forced Marari's goalkeeper Telmo da Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rogério Koehler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Edgar Mattos fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Ernani Vale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marari. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Cangica FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
