Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Betinho Mazza made the kick off which started today's match. Leandro Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvério Cearense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aluísio Marquez got free with Leandro Castro in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 10th minute, Aluísio Marquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Luís Fabiano Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leandro Castro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dida Garcia in the 20th minute. Josué Rocha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Betinho Mazza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Serrito booed when Cangalha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giovani Veiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute, Luís Fabiano Pinheiro made a precise shot to the right of Josué Rocha. Serrito's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 38th minute, Aluísio Marquez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Josué Rocha came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Cangalha FC's Luís Fabiano Pinheiro. But to his dismay, Luís Fabiano Pinheiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Cangalha FC's zone, Aluísio Marquez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leandro Castro came out of the goal and Aluísio Marquez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Silvério Cearense made a kick off. Josué Rocha made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Giovani Veiga sent off a good shot on target. Cangalha FC's Leandro Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Loyola in the 54th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aluísio Marquez in the 58th minute of play forced Cangalha FC's goalkeeper Leandro Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute, Chicão Leme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Serginho Pereira in the 63rd minute really tested Josué Rocha's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Luís Fabiano Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Serrito booed when Cangalha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Betinho Mazza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cangalha FC's Luís Fabiano Pinheiro got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Betinho Mazza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Josué Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Josué Rocha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Betinho Mazza's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. In the 77th minute, Aluísio Marquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oséas Paiva hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Betinho Mazza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cangalha FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Betinho Mazza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Josué Rocha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Luís Fabiano Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dida Garcia charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dida Garcia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dida Garcia hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Luís Fabiano Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josué Rocha having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Cangalha FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
