Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Luciano Lima got the match started through his kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oséias Paiva in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Josué Rocha saved Serrito from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Malaripo FC's José Barbosa got a free kick in the 7th minute. When Oséias Paiva fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Malaripo FC's protests and gave Oséias Paiva a yellow card for diving instead. Malaripo FC's Flavinho Rodrigues proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Malaripo FC from getting a goal against them. In the 13th minute, Oséias Paiva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luciano Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Josué Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Serrito's goal looked a bit too open when Luciano Lima came free, but Josué Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oséias Paiva took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Josué Rocha. Josué Rocha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Malaripo FC's José Barbosa got a free kick in the 21st minute. Serrito's Wilson Fonseca couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Malaripo FC. Silvério Cearense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 27 minutes, Duarte Loyola mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Malaripo FC and the Serrito players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Malaripo FC's Duarte Loyola got a free kick in the 27th minute. Aluísio Marquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Flavinho Rodrigues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the game, Ricardo Loyola was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Serrito's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Malaripo FC the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luciano Lima in the 32nd minute of play forced Serrito's goalkeeper Josué Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Luciano Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Josué Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luciano Lima in the 39th minute of play. The supporters of Malaripo FC booed when Serrito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chicão Leme didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silvério Cearense was the one to do the kick off. Silvério Cearense scored 1-1 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Flavinho Rodrigues, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Josué Rocha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Serrito booed when Malaripo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Veiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luciano Lima in the 73rd minute of play forced Serrito's goalkeeper Josué Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silvério Cearense in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flavinho Rodrigues prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 78 minutes into the match, Malaripo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aluísio Marquez came free, but Flavinho Rodrigues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Oséias Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the match, Serrito's goalkeeper Josué Rocha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Oséias Paiva. When Oséias Paiva came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Malaripo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oséias Paiva couldn't finish the play. Luciano Lima's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Josué Rocha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. The Malaripo FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Serrito from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
