The supporters of Cangonhal EC booed when Barreiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Durvalino Varela didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eusébio Leite's late challenge caught a Barreiras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eusébio Leite helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Cangonhal EC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Eusébio Leite hit a great ball. Elivélton Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With 9 minutes on the clock, Ronaldão Bueno commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Barreiras fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 8th minute. Penalty! After a defensive mix-up in Barreiras's zone, Pedro Luiz de Alcântara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdemar Tavares came out of the goal and Pedro Luiz de Alcântara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Barreiras's goalkeeper Valdemar Tavares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Leandro Breckenfeld received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Valdemar Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Luiz de Alcântara received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Valdemar Tavares came out and tried to block the shot, but Pedro Luiz de Alcântara slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 25th minute. Caco de Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kauan Guedes having to interfere. Eliseu Carvalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 35th minute, Noel Velasco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barreiras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Kauan Guedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Noel Velasco in the 40th minute of the match. If Noel Velasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Noel Velasco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kauan Guedes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Chicão Rezende hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Luiz de Alcântara to make the kick off. Leandro Breckenfeld sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valdemar Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Luiz de Alcântara in the 70th minute of the match. Leandro Breckenfeld scored 2-2 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valdemar Tavares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 75th minute Leandro Breckenfeld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdemar Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th minute, Leandro Breckenfeld ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valdemar Tavares was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. After 85 played minutes Cangonhal EC got a freekick which was hit by Leandro Breckenfeld. After a defensive mix-up in Cangonhal EC's zone, Noel Velasco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kauan Guedes came out of the goal and Noel Velasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Caco de Castro fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barreiras's protests and gave Caco de Castro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 89th minute of the match Chicão Rezende shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valdemar Tavares showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 91st minute Pedro Luiz de Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdemar Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Barreiras's Valdemar Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Luiz de Alcântara in the 95th minute of play.
