Albertinho Jacinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guai AD's Abelardo Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Pombal in the 15th minute of play. The Autazes AD fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Autazes AD's Durval Moura looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Abelardo Garcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgard Pombal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 29 minutes into the match, Guai AD's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Pombal came free, but Abelardo Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st match minute, Autazes AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natanael Neiva to maneuver through the defense. Edvaldo Brasil blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Albertinho Jacinto having to make a save. Durval Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Garcia having to interfere. In the 48th minute Durval Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Autazes AD were awarded a corner in the 50th minute after Guai AD's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Zé Carlos Neiva took the corner. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Durval Moura made a kick off. Edvaldo Brasil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albertinho Jacinto having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Armando Mota hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Durval Moura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Abelardo Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgard Pombal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Autazes AD's zone, Romeu Gaúcho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albertinho Jacinto came out of the goal and Romeu Gaúcho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Autazes AD's Durval Moura got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Durval Moura got in the 76th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Abelardo Garcia handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. In the 78th minute, Durval Moura fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Edgard Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgard Pombal struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Abelardo Garcia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Autazes AD. Edvaldo Brasil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Albertinho Jacinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomé Meira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Autazes AD's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
