Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) In the 4thth minute of the game Ronaldinho dos Santos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cachorro's Betão Cabral was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rodolfo Ferraz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Nilson Soares made a huge save. If Edmílson Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaime Dante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Nilson Soares made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Zacarias Pontes sent off a good shot on target. Edmílson Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Betão Cabral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edmílson Ramos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Betão Cabral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Jaime Dante recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Jaime Dante managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cachorro's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Dante was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nilson Soares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jaime Dante stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
