After 20 minutes of play, Serrotinho's Aloísio Marquez made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roger Mesquita was left in no man's land by his defense there! Evaristo Pitta struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Fausto Dracena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dolearina FC. Alan da Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Roger Mesquita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aloísio Marquez was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Serrotinho's zone, Noel Favoretto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fausto Dracena came out of the goal and Noel Favoretto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Serrotinho's Fausto Dracena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evaristo Pitta in the 53rd minute of play. Serrotinho's Alan da Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fausto Dracena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Duda Albuquerque in the 60th minute of the match. When Roger Goiano fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Serrotinho's protests and gave Roger Goiano a yellow card for diving instead. Roger Goiano kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evaristo Pitta in the 64th minute of play forced Serrotinho's goalkeeper Fausto Dracena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alan da Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Roger Mesquita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Serrotinho's Allan Teixeira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Roger Mesquita. That made the score 0-2 after 83 minutes of play. The audience was convinced that Duda Albuquerque's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fausto Dracena was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Alan da Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Mesquita having to interfere. Serrotinho's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
