Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Luís Guilherme da Silva got the match started through his kick off. When Reginaldo Bueno fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Godinho's protests and gave Reginaldo Bueno a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Godinho getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Reginaldo Bueno hit a great ball. After 5 played minutes Godinho got a freekick which was hit by Mateus Bezerra. Baltazar Romero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 10th minute, Saecinza's Luís Guilherme da Silva ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jorginho Gonçalves. Jorginho Gonçalves yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Baltazar Romero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Jorginho Gonçalves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorginho Gonçalves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luís Guilherme da Silva's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Saecinza's Glauco Esteves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arí Braga in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th minute Godinho were awarded a corner. Fiori de Carvalho went to the cornerflag to take it. After a defensive mix-up in Godinho's zone, Baltazar Romero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorginho Gonçalves came out of the goal and Baltazar Romero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luís Guilherme da Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorginho Gonçalves having to interfere. Jorginho Gonçalves was a little too slow when Luís Guilherme da Silva got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 2-0. Luís Guilherme da Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorginho Gonçalves having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Godinho's Arí Braga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Glauco Esteves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luís Eduardo Tasso charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Eduardo Tasso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Saecinza's Luís Eduardo Tasso got a free kick in the 46th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dudu Simões was the one to do the kick off. Godinho were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Saecinza's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fiori de Carvalho took the corner. The corner led Godinho's Fiori de Carvalho to fire away a dangerous shot which Glauco Esteves despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Saecinza's zone, Arí Braga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Glauco Esteves came out of the goal and Arí Braga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. During the 60th minute of the match Luís Eduardo Tasso completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Luís Eduardo Tasso a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Mateus Bezerra's late challenge caught a Saecinza's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mateus Bezerra helped the player get up and apologised. Baltazar Romero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorginho Gonçalves having to interfere. Saecinza's Frank Barros got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Baltazar Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dudu Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Glauco Esteves having to interfere. When Saecinza's Baltazar Romero in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Godinho's goalie prevented a goal. In the 80th minute, Baltazar Romero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Saecinza fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Glauco Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dudu Simões in the 83rd minute of play. Baltazar Romero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Jorginho Gonçalves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Anderson Linares came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Saecinza fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anderson Linares couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baltazar Romero in the 95th minute of play forced Godinho's goalkeeper Jorginho Gonçalves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
