Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Noel Veloso got the match started through his kick off. If Horácio Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vitório Zonta hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Gilson Lopez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Princeza's Luís Fernando Duarte got a free kick in the 15th minute. A collision led to Chupeiro getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Cássio Neves hit a great ball. Gabriel Veloso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Matheus Tasso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Veloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gilson Lopez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matheus Tasso having to interfere. Bruno Marinho hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Gabriel Veloso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Princeza's Gilson Lopez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Matheus Tasso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Chupeiro's Eliézer Gonçalves slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Claudinho Lira. That made the score 1-0 after 36 minutes of play. Chupeiro's Matheus Tasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilson Lopez in the 39th minute of play. 43 minutes into the game, Gabriel Veloso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Matheus Tasso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Noel Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Claudinho Lira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
After a defensive mix-up in Chupeiro's zone, Gabriel Veloso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matheus Tasso came out of the goal and Gabriel Veloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gabriel Veloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gabriel Veloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Princeza's Gilson Lopez got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luís Leme's late challenge caught a Chupeiro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luís Leme helped the player get up and apologised. After 62 played minutes Princeza got a freekick which was hit by Luís Leme. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Gabriel Veloso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Princeza's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Veloso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matheus Tasso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 65 played minutes Chupeiro got a freekick which was hit by Marcelinho Paiva. Princeza's Gilson Lopez got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Gabriel Veloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilson Lopez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matheus Tasso having to interfere. Despite being the better team, Princeza failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
