Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hortêncio Jacinto started the match with the kick off. In the 7th match minute, Landin SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdir Baptista to maneuver through the defense. Itiquira's Jonas Carioca got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonas Carioca got free with Albertino Meireles in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Waldir Baiano hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Donatello de Sena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armandinho Tavares in the 17th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Armandinho Tavares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Landin SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Armandinho Tavares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donatello de Sena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Itiquira getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Tadeu Freitas hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hortêncio Jacinto in the 29th minute of play forced Landin SS's goalkeeper Albertino Meireles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dida Dante during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 31 played minutes Itiquira got a freekick which was hit by Dida Dante. In the 32nd minute of the match Nando Ceresso sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Donatello de Sena skillfully saved the ball. If Armandinho Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wellington Lucas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donatello de Sena having to interfere. In the 46th minute of the match, Hortêncio Jacinto tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Albertino Meireles saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Armandinho Tavares to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Itiquira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basílio Damião to maneuver through the defense. Armandinho Tavares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Itiquira's Deivid Furtado got a free kick in the 58th minute. Nando Ceresso took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Donatello de Sena. Itiquira's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Landin SS's Albertino Meireles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Carioca in the 66th minute of play. If Jonas Carioca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Albertino Meireles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Carioca in the 69th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, Itiquira's goalkeeper Donatello de Sena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wellington Lucas. Armandinho Tavares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Donatello de Sena having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armandinho Tavares in the 75th minute of play forced Itiquira's goalkeeper Donatello de Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Itiquira defense, Waldir Baiano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Donatello de Sena. The Itiquira fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Donatello de Sena should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Landin SS's Armandinho Tavares got a free kick in the 90th minute. Albertino Meireles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonas Carioca in the 94th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Landin SS walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
