Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Itiquira's Hortêncio Jacinto started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 minutes, Zézinho Recife mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Itiquira and the Macapuana players grew even worse after the yellow card. 4 minutes into the game, one of Itiquira:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Donatello de Sena went to the wrong direction when Dedé Machado was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 8thth minute of the game Guilherme Andrade who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Itiquira's Donatello de Sena was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Donatello de Sena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Nóbrega, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 10 minutes, Alfredão Loureiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Itiquira and the Macapuana players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alfredão Loureiro kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Guilherme Andrade's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Donatello de Sena was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Donatello de Sena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guilherme Andrade in the 16th minute of play. Hortêncio Jacinto struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Pedro Luís Pereira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itiquira. If Guilherme Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guilherme Andrade in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Donatello de Sena saved Itiquira from getting behind. Jonas Carioca scored 1-0 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Luís Pereira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hortêncio Jacinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hortêncio Jacinto in the 39th minute of play forced Macapuana's goalkeeper Pedro Luís Pereira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Itiquira's Jonas Carioca sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Luís Pereira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Adalmo Xavier kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. If Jonas Carioca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Macapuana's zone, Hortêncio Jacinto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Luís Pereira came out of the goal and Hortêncio Jacinto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guilherme Andrade made a kick off. Hortêncio Jacinto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Luís Pereira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Macapuana's Pedro Luís Pereira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hortêncio Jacinto in the 57th minute of play. Dida Dante kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Guilherme Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Donatello de Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guilherme Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donatello de Sena having to interfere. Benjamin Nóbrega in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Donatello de Sena, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to Itiquira getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Deivid Furtado hit a great ball. Itiquira's Hortêncio Jacinto got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 86 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Hortêncio Jacinto sped through Macapuana's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pedro Luís Pereira. Valério Romero hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. If Jonas Carioca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Itiquira's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
