The Jequia SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jaime de Almeida should have stopped the shot. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jequia SS's goalkeeper Jaime de Almeida, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Zé Leite hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. The supporters of Landin SS booed when Jequia SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. The audience was convinced that Armandinho Tavares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jaime de Almeida was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. Armandinho Tavares received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jaime de Almeida came out and tried to block the shot, but Armandinho Tavares slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 96th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Landin SS had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
