Malhada EC's Evaristo Nogueira got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 21st minute, Igor Alcântara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Evaristo Nogueira came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Malhada EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evaristo Nogueira couldn't finish the play. 25 minutes into the match, Moravania AD's goalkeeper Doni Ferreira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Evaristo Nogueira. Evaristo Nogueira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Doni Ferreira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of Moravania AD booed when Malhada EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Digo da Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Queiroz in the 34th minute of play forced Malhada EC's goalkeeper Rodolfo Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Moravania AD were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after Malhada EC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Anselmo Barreto took the corner. Digo da Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doni Ferreira having to interfere. Evaristo Nogueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Doni Ferreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Igor Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doni Ferreira having to interfere. Evaristo Nogueira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Doni Ferreira made a huge save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Donato Queiroz made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Evaristo Nogueira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Evaristo Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doni Ferreira having to interfere. Moravania AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Igor Alcântara was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Doni Ferreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dário Prestes, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 69th match minute, Moravania AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erivaldo Neves to maneuver through the defense. Hermínio Cardozo hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. If Evaristo Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the game, Cristóvão Quaresma was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Moravania AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Malhada EC the free kick. In the 76th match minute, Moravania AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristóvão Quaresma to maneuver through the defense. During the 88th minute of the match Cristóvão Quaresma completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Cristóvão Quaresma a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 89 played minutes Moravania AD got a freekick which was hit by Cristóvão Quaresma. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Evaristo Nogueira in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Doni Ferreira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Malhada EC fully deserved thier win.
