Igor Alcântara started the match with the kick off. Igor Alcântara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cícero Porto having to make a save. In the 20th minute, Emerson Hoffmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the game, Igor Alcântara was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Malhada EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Affonso the free kick. Luís Guilherme Senna received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rodolfo Medeiros came out and tried to block the shot, but Luís Guilherme Senna slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 24th minute. Luís Guilherme Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Medeiros having to interfere. Valdemar Dias hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. If Evaristo Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute Luís Guilherme Senna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luís Guilherme Senna to make the kick off. In the 56th minute, Luís Guilherme Senna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rodolfo Medeiros was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Dário Prestes's late challenge caught a Affonso's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dário Prestes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th minute, Luís Guilherme Senna left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Affonso fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. 72 minutes into the match, Malhada EC's Igor Alcântara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cícero Porto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 75th minute, Benedito Novaes made a precise shot to the right of Rodolfo Medeiros. Malhada EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Guilherme Senna in the 78th minute of play forced Malhada EC's goalkeeper Rodolfo Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Igor Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cícero Porto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evaristo Nogueira in the 84th minute of play. Rodolfo Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Guilherme Senna, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Affonso's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
